Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Numzi is a digital learning service owned and operated by Ravish Qureshi, an individual proprietor based in India. In this document, "Numzi", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Ravish Qureshi, operating under the brand name Numzi.

This policy explains what Ravish Qureshi, operating under the brand name Numzi, collects when you use Numzi, why, and what control you have. We have tried to write it plainly rather than in legalese.

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and show your child's progress. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to your child, and we never see your card details. Where an activity listens to your child read aloud, that needs your permission and we never record the audio.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Ravish Qureshi, an individual proprietor in India, operating as Numzi. You can reach us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

2. What we collect

3. Children's information

Numzi is bought and operated by a parent or guardian, not by a child. Children do not create accounts, cannot make payments, and are not asked to enter personal information.

4. Using the microphone

One activity invites your child to read a word aloud, and another lets them answer by speaking instead of typing. Those are the only places Numzi uses the microphone.

5. How we use it

6. Your consent

We process your information on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and subscribe, and to perform the contract between us. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may withdraw consent at any time - though we may then be unable to continue providing the service.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Numzi:

Separately from the above, when a speaking activity is used, your own browser passes the speech to its built-in speech service to turn it into text - on Apple devices that is Apple's, on Chrome it is Google's. That happens between your browser and its maker, not through Numzi: we never receive the audio, so we cannot pass it on. See Using the microphone above.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of users.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your light/dark theme, and avoid double-counting events. Analytics providers may set cookies to measure usage. You can clear these in your browser, though signing in will then be required again.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records (for example invoices and tax records) for the period required by law.

10. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our hosting providers under access controls, including row-level security so one account cannot read another's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and keep our dependencies current.

11. Your rights

You may ask us to:

Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and tell you directly if the change is significant.
